To make these images, splotches of water based paint were placed on a rubber membrane stretched across a crochet hoop. That hoop was then placed on a large bass speaker, which was fed from a computer music source. When the music came on, a photograph was taken after a delay of roughly 50ms (adjustable and varied somewhat by volume of frequency of music).
